St Edmund Hall Chapel

This is a short blog but I feel it is worthy of being shown in the Church Explorer. The chapel is off the Quad at St Edmunds Hall College and was built in the late 17th century being famous for painting ‘Supper at Emmaus’ by Ceri Richards that hangs over the altar plus the stained glass window by William Morris and  Edward-Burne Jones.

This panel in the glass case is dated 1528 and looks amazing

Last of all the organ pipes, I did not check where it was played from but might be on the left side of the altar

This was the first college chapel I have visited and as most of the collages have them I will try visit some of the others as well.
I will leave with a collage.
Till next time may I wish you all a peaceful week
