Though I have had this church on my list to visit it was more of a fill in visit to finish off the churches around the area I live. Cannot find much history on the church other that it was built in 1852 no doubt built fro the wealthy people who lived in that area. The church itself was locked on the occasion of my visit & though I left a message to ask about the key on the vicars answerphone with my number I have had no reply. One of my fellow church crawlers tells me it is always locked.

It looks a fairly standard small Victorian church and I doubt it has any great architectural treasures within, though it's always sad to see such buildings locked. I always think of my mother and some of her friends who found great solace in being able to go into their local church at any time they felt the need, especially after the deaths of close family.
...Bill, your experience with locked church is similar to mine here. I rarely have the opportunity to see the interiors of the churches that I find.
It's a handsome building and I like that gate with all the greenery.
Right from the gated entrance St John's is a lovely looking church Bill. Some very old graves there. Your last shot in the mellow sunshine shows the church stonework at it's very best ✨
Beautiful, and the cemetery is quite peaceful.
