Update

Pulpit in St Michael at the North Gate decked in Poppies for Remembrance day

I have updated St Michael at the North Gate Oxford with some additional photos now the tower is open, I also managed to get back to St Peter in the east to get photos of the crypt which will be in the blog when it is written up. While in Oxford I managed to visit a church I had last seen back in 2009 and did not take photos of the inside as I was only passing and just had a quick look, I have wanted to return ever since.

St Thomas the martyr, last visited in 2009

Over the last couple of weeks I have also revisited a couple of churches that I have written blogs on  before but was not happy with the photos so will be rewriting with new photos. I have now visited enough churches to finish the year and start the next though I have not doubt I will still visit a few before the year end

 St Matthew Harwell

St Andrew East Hagbourn

Churches you have to look forward to and I hope a few more to come

  1. I love these old stone buildings with their strength and beauty, and wonder about the stories they could tell and the history they have been through. Your blog is fascinating.

  2. Thanks for this update, Billy. I did love the pulpit decorated with poppies in honor of Remembrance Day. May we never forget those brave soldiers who gave their lives for our freedoms. Our Veteran's Day is Tuesday of this week. Blessings!
