Holy Trinity Bolton

The Holy Trinity Bolton was built between 1723-25 in a Gothic Revival stile it was declared Redundant in 1993 and until the time I spotted it when visiting Bolton it was empty. In 2007 a surveyor fell through the roof and was killed. The Church was eventually converted into 84 flats

Viewed from across the road, right the belltower clock

On top some very Gothic spires

This is a church along the road from the Holy Trinity, the sign said Save our Church
Another view of the church from across the road

Above looking from the traffic island at the North side and from the path, the churchyard looks like it was cut back for the road I am stood by
Above a gate pillar still with the hinge in place

The south side of the church

and the tower with door leading to the church

another view of the south side

Think this may have been the rectory and school ones time, now its a community centre

Locked gates leading to the rear of the church

In 2014 the church was converted in to 84 flats and named Trinity Court and the above photo by

I feel new life has been given to the old church and it still lives on.
May you have  a wonderful weekend

  2. ...Bill, a beauty that is so unlike your other churches. The maintenance of the this building would be huge. Nice to hear that it has found a new use.

  3. A beautiful, striking looking church. I love it when old buildings are repurposed instead of torn down or left to rot.
